Did you know that my favorite time of year in Costa Rica is right now???

Why? From mid-November to mid-December, it’s the tail end of rainy season in Costa Rica, which means that the Earth is super green and lush, but the heavy rains have pretty much stopped. The dry weather is around the corner, the offshore winds are starting (perfect for beautiful waves 🌊🏄‍♀️!), and the air temperature is tropical perfect.

Last, but certainly not least, it’s the height of sunset season, with magical sunset beauties just like this 🌅😍!!!

All you need is love, surf, and sunsets. Welcome back to that magical sunset surf date at the beach in Costa Rica. Surfer couple walking on the beach in Tamarindo Costa Rica. "Sunset Surf Date" sunset wall art by Samba to the Sea.

So are you packing your bags already?!?! 💼 ✈️

P.S. Happy Thanksgiving!!! I couldn’t find a Turkey, so a Sea Turtle is a good tropical alternative, right?? 🐢🌊

P.P.S. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it’s all about spending time with loved ones and giving thanks. Since trading my corporate heels for a surfboard in Costa Rica six years ago, Thanksgiving looks a little different — instead of wearing cozy sweaters and feasting over Turkey (and lots of cheese…goodness, my family loves cheese 😂😂😂), this beautiful holiday has become a new tradition with celebrating with friends that are not only American, but from around the world, after a morning surf session. This year though is a new Thanksgiving experience — my Aunt, cousin, and cousin-in-law came to visit me in Tamarindo + celebrate Thanksgiving with Gidget and I! It’s beyond special to me to celebrate this beautiful holiday with my family in tropical Pura Vidadise — from my family to yours, Feliz Dia de Accion de Gracias AKA Happy Thanksgiving!!!

P.P.P.S. You didn’t think I’d have family visit me without getting them in front of my camera?! Sunset last sure did show off for my cousin Justin and his wife Rachel on their last night in Tamarindo!
