I get asked quite frequently about how I traded my NYC corporate heels for a surfboard and camera in Costa Rica. About leading a life that’s different than the majority.
If you’ve ever contemplated doing something different or are tossing around the idea right now, whether that be moving to another state /country, or following a passion to start a side hustle, the short and sweet advice I can give you is that you can do it too.
Maybe it won’t work out, or maybe it will be one amazing adventure.
And one of the most beautiful parts of following your heart and doing something you love is the potential to make a difference in other people's lives too. What do I mean by this? I never could have imagined that by becoming a photographer I could give such joy and happiness to my clients with not only the photographs I deliver to them, but also during their photo session experience. It's hands down one of the top reasons why I LOVE what I do. AND glowing client reviews like the one below are the icing on the cake!
"The photographs Kristen shot were amazing. I regularly have professional family photos done and have used a handful of different photographers over the last 9 years. These photos are hands down the most amazing. Kristen’s knowledge of location and lighting made all the difference. My children had a great time. Photos can sometimes be exhausting for my kids. Kristen put them at ease and they enjoyed themselves and it shows in the photos! My little girl begged to go back the next day to play dress up and take pictures with the “fun girl and little dog”. Looking forward to catching Kristen in Savannah again."
Now go on and make some waves of your very own too!
