#FelizFriday!

Summertime and the feeling is fine!

I know, I know...it's not summer in the Northern hemisphere. In fact, I keep seeing some pretty COLD winter temps...like 30 degrees in Savannah! No thank you. 🥶

BUT it is the start of summer here in Costa Rica!

I know, I know...how does that even make sense that it's summertime in CR since the country is located north of the equator??? It technically should be winter!

Yep, like a lot of things here, Costa Rica's seasons are different and it
doesn't follow the same seasons as the rest of the Northern Hemisphere. Weird, I know!

For Costa Rica, summer falls between the months of December-April, and the winter months are May-November.

So why is this backwards?

From December-April, the weather in Costa Rica is blue skies + sunny, hot days every single day, also known as Dry Season. As a result of this, Costa Ricans designate these typically Northern Hemisphere winter months as their summer months. And consequently, the rainier, "cooler" months from May-November are the winter months in Costa Rica, also known as Rainy Season.

In short, in Costa Rica, December-April = Dry Season = summer, and May-November = Rainy Season = winter. But no matter what season in CR, it's always in 80s every single day at the beach!

And if all of this talk about summer, warm weather, and the beach has got you wishing you were living an endless summer vs braving that winter cold 🥶...

You have two more days left to order a print at
