Surfing fundamentally is a solitary sport. All you need is you, your board, and a wave. There’s nothing quite like that feeling that it’s just you dancing with Mother Nature’s magic. And as solitary as surfing is, it also is beautifully communal. Sure, I treasure my solo surf sessions, but surfing without your buddies out in the ocean with you just isn’t the same...especially during a jaw dropping sunset like this... .
Because the real secret to surfing is sharing the magic of the waves with the ones you care for.
It's not how good you surf....or how many times you wipeout! It's about the relationships you make while out surfing, laughing and hooting your friends into waves. In other words, it's about simply being out in the ocean + enjoying Mother Nature's beauty with your friends, sans dinging notifications. So if you're ever in Tamarindo, Costa Rica, hit me up and let's go paddle out! Have a beautiful weekend!
P.S. Gracias for sharing the surf + sunset stoke with me. And if I’ve dropped in on ya 🙈…it was done with the utmost love!

Rainy Season > Dry Season
Yes, I said it!
I prefer Rainy Season in Costa Rica over Dry Season...and if you love breathtaking sunsets as much as I do, then you will too!
(How about that for some rhyming... 😉😂)
So why is Rainy Season better than Dry Season in Costa Rica?
Because Rainy Season = magical sunset season in Costa Rica!
In other words, rain squalls + clouds set the stage for dramatic sunsets just like this...
