After a three year recess, it was about time that I put some East Coast surf back into this East Coast born + raised girl. With Hurricane Maria making her way North in the Atlantic Ocean earlier this week, and consequently sending waves to the East Coast, I took the day off Tuesday and hopped down to Jacksonville from Savannah. (If only the much closer Tybee Beach had better waves....BUT good thing for surf amigos near and far!)
To say the least, Tuesday was a very good day. It was one heck of a 3.5 hour surf session full of hooting and hollering with my surf amigos as we surfed wave after beautiful wave. The waves were as good as any good day in Costa Rica - - which means I now have very high expectations for East Coast surf!
Jacksonville, you sure know how to show a girl a good time. 🤙🏻🌊🏄♀️ Now if only I could learn to drop my hynie a tad bit lower.. .
AND a huge shoutout to mi surf amigo Anthony for taking these beautiful sunrise shots before he paddled out to get some waves too. Photos edited by me 🌅🌊🏄♀️.
Pura Vida,
