Wellllllll, I had a total blonde moment last week. I got so excited about the pretty new pillows I made for The Sunset Shop that when I sat down to write #FelizFriday last week, I totally forgot about my 'lil Father's Day note I had already written! Yep, total blonde moment. Sorry Poppy, I was blinded by so many pretty pillows on my desk. 😂😂😂 BUT, I did remember Father's Day last Sunday and had a nice FaceTime chat with my dad.  So this week can we pretend that Father's Day is this Sunday because I'd oh-so-love to share my Father's Day post with you?? Ok? Gracias!

Growing up, my dad, or Poppy as I’ve always called him, usually was the parent who took my middle brother and I on adventures, with my mom staying behind to watch my other older brother who is severely handicapped. We used to go camping, white water rafting, sailing, and perhaps my favorite, explore the pristine beaches in Antigua where my dad’s parents lived. Antigua was my brother’s and mine playground, with our father as our guide.

If I had to pinpoint my love for water and the ocean, it all started in Antigua during all those adventures with my father. We sailed, we snorkeled, and we body surfed the crashing, turquoise waves. Looking back, it’s no wonder I left the concrete jungle in New York City for the beach, ocean, and waves in Costa Rica. Thank you Poppy for guiding me to the ocean at such a young age - - the sea has set me free. Happy (belated!) Father's Day Poppy and to all the awesome dads out there!

    #FelizFriday amigo 🤙🏻.

    Pura Vida,
    Kristen
