  • Did Phil say six more weeks of winter? || #FelizFriday 2/2/18

    February 02, 2018 2 min read

Not only is it #FelizFriday, but it's also Groundhog Day. And if you haven't heard the news yet this morning, Punxsutawney Phil, aka "the Groundhog", saw his shadow this morning, meaning there is more of winter and less spring heading your way. Ughhhhhh....

OK, don't hate me for saying this, but it always feels like Groundhog Day in Costa Rica -- that is, every day it's a repeat of the same hot + sunny weather, much like the same day over-and-over again for Bill Murray in the '93 movie Groundhog Day. Especially in dry season (December - April), where it's blue skies, absolutely no rain, and 90+ degrees every single day. I know, the truth of weather reports from tropical paradise hurts sometimes. #sorrynotsorry ;)

BUT, just because summer feels like an eternity away right now (thanks Phil), doesn't mean you can't have all those beach vibes right now at home. Because,

    1. It's #FelizFriday, which means theses gorgeous sunsets have dropped in your inbox (heck yes!), AND

Beautiful sunset in Tamarindo Costa Rica. Sunset art pictures photographed by Kristen M. Brown, Samba to the Sea for The Sunset Shop.

    2. Just in case you were on the fence deciding on the best frame to go with one of my sunset prints, I came across an awesome DIY frame hack from Left and Level for a framed art print from Target. Get ready to bust out the needle nose pliers and a staple gun...

Bottom line, use this beautiful wood frame, combine it with one of my favorite sunset prints "The Sunset Bus"  and, voila, you get a 'lil slice of Pura Vidadise in your very own home. How about that to lessen the sting of Phil's bad, more winter news this morning?

Project 62 framed art from Target. VW bus on the beach during sunset in Tamarindo Costa Rica. Sunset art pictures photographed by Kristen M. Brown, Samba to the Sea for The Sunset Shop. Frame by Target.

But in all seriousness, if you are on the fence deciding how to frame on of my sunset prints, LET'S CHAT (<-- click there) because I'm here to help you with all those details, from the best print, print size, and frame selection.

AND now on to the sunsets! Take that Phil!!!
